SCC Art Demo and Art Business Workshop

We had an interesting art demo and business workshop at Seminole Community College with the Art Club. We, Elizabeth and I discussed the business of art, sharing some of our life experience secrets and scoured resources to benefit the career paths of these students. They were a super group! It was such a pleasure to spend time with them. Here are a few photos of them at the easels.

Next in the early wee hours I am off to Daytona for Marketing for the Visual Artist Seminar.

Whoo there's me in your blog! Hehe. It was an honor and pleasure to learn from both of you! Here's hoping we can do something like that again some time. :)

Hey Jacob! It was great to see the piece you left with, full of color and creativity yet good strong drawing skills. Thank you. Jay asked if we might do this again so we shall see...

Hey Robin thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Your information on marketing was VERY helpful and your demonstration really inspired me. :)

I actually just also realized that I also saw you working in a studio in downtown Sanford. I think the gallery belonged to a lady named Jeanie and you were painting sunsets. :)

Thank you tigerlylee! If you sign up to receive this blog via feedblitz or stop back by there are often marketing ideas and hopefully more inspiration. You all are an inspiration to me as well.

Ryanne,

Yes! That was my prior studio space. When my daughter moved out for college I took over her room which has wonderful northern light. Jeanine is still there at her Folk art gallery and new artists have moved into the studio where I was at. It's a wonderful artist date!(If you read the Artist's Way you will know what that means)

hi my name is Roberto I attended this workshop it was great. I feel that teaching your creative process is one of the strongest forms of art (performane art) if you will.... I never got to talk to you about my goals but the reason I am working in art is to teach in Philadelphia, where I come from. Although the art community is strong, in my former neighborhood there is not much art education. So I am focusing on being interdisciplinary so that I can teach the students art they would not be exposed to unless it was for me taking my time to learn different processes.
