Come Out Tonight

"LOVE WORKS" and "BEYOND GEPETTO" is happening tonight October 16 in downtown Orlando. I have works of art at both venues, the City Arts Factory and the Gallery at Avalon Island. This is the final event to see me in person to place your entry in my ART GIVE AWAY in celebration of International Artist Day. I am receiving entries daily via email until the date of the drawing on October 25th.

Above is "Days Gone By" with my oldest child holding a pet mouse at my favorite time of day when the shadows play. Created about fifteen years ago, I have kept this mixed media piece for myself. Interestingly I had no idea how relevant the title would become as it stired memories today of when my kids were little. I like that this piece is still relevant and although dated by my memories, the image is timeless. I am headed outside to throw down some paint for mixed media pieces on my Wallis paper that arrived! More on Wallis later...

Robin,
The pieces you created of my children are priceless, so I understand how you feel.

Manon,

Thank you! It was so funny, she pic texted me this morning, she must know I am thinking of her!

I wanted to draw in close, like a museum piece, and see the details and the process - it seems the shadows make you want to get closer too. REally lovely.

This painting is wonderful. I like the way you painted "mood" using the pose more than the expression of the face. An unusual composition that works well. Nice!!
