Orange you glad?

My painting time felt like it was stolen away and woosh it was gone. Yes yes this is technically a drawing because it is pastel but get used to the term painting. We pastelists use that term when we fill in all the spaces on the whole page. And I must say it feels like painting so thus here is my painting in late progress....early shots may be used in a video some time in the future. Yes I am glad! It is after midnight and quiet all around and I am making art.

Feels great doesn't it? I like the way the soft, wispy branches offset the big areas of color.

BTW, I like your new artist photo.

This is beautiful! Colored pencil artists call their work paintings, too. I would classify this as a painting. I tend to think of outlines or sketches as drawings and things that are filled in as paintings, so I'm with you!

Wonderful Robin! Color, color, color has the power to thrill. Oh yes, and I never refer to my work as pastel DRAWINGS. I do that with a graphite pencil and a sketchbook.

Beautiful, Robin. Yep, you've got a pocketful of colors alright! Can't wait to see the next one.
I printed your goal list and have it posted to remind me what a slacker I am. IT HELPS! Thanks.

Robin,
I find I do my best crafting projects late at night when it is quiet and it feels like I have the world to myself. This is a beautiful piece of art!
