Two Snowy Owls

Listed in my Etsy shop

The snowy owl brings forth the first snow upon the autumnal landscape.
Above is a contemporary acrylic work of art which differs from the first
"Snowy Owl with the Full Moon"

a pastel in progress with a more realistically drawn snowy owl, than the top one,

as I imagine the bird in flight between trees.

A New Moon

Moon is a familiar piece for those who have followed me since last year. And so you know of my personal derailments, heartbreaks and successes which I also shared recently in the radio interview which Katie Ball did with me on 89.9 FM UCF. So I am back to Moon. The weather no longer an excuse, it is cool enough to use oils in open air. To move forward with that something that I know, that only the artist knows is unfinished, that vision in my mind.
Random tweets that I applied to my day:
@RobertMonteux: Procrastination is only a symptom of the problem. The problem is FEAR. What are you afraid of? Why?
@LollyDaskal: I blend with the wind. I glide with the current. I do not resist- I remain myself.
@brenda5316: "Fix ur eyes forward on what u can do, not back on what u cannot change." ~Tom Clancy
I felt exhausted moments after painting the emotive "unseen" aspects "Of things seen and left unseen". Her story, my story, a universal times less story culminating in this work of art.

Once again I will look upon it with fresh eyes once the new work has set.

Escape to Missoula Montana

This original recently sold and will be shipped to Missoula Montana Monday to a dear friend. When I first posted "The Escape" she instantly shared that she loved it, so I held it, thinking she might want it and she did! I created a gorgeous print of this piece now available in my etsy shop. The print in on an 8.5" x 11" premium paper printed the same size as the original 8" x 8". It is vibrant and even reveals the texture of the panel the original was painted on. I use Vivera Inks which last over 200 years. There is a picture of the print in my shop http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=32821419

Per requests I am sharing the recent 30" x 30" acrylic in progress. (Bottom to Top) Bottom photo is the first layer, completely dry. Above that is the resist and the next layer of blue covering the previous layer. Next pic above is the very colorfilled continuation of the second layer, shown very wet. The top photo is dried paint with some of the resist peeled to reveal bottom layer. Now I am back to the studio for more layers.

Symbolic Snail

I received a note on a subject that I am often asked "I don't know how you do it, how do you do so much. Where do you get all of these ideas?"

The busier I am, it seems like vortex of ideas flow.
My notebook has more ideas than I'll ever be able to fully bring to fruition. One thing I do notice about the creative cycle is if I let the idea sit for too long the spark fades and it's time can pass. So I act quickly. And not every piece is perfection, some works are learning experiences.

This morning on twitter J.Sewell Perkins of SCI Coach posted

“By perseverance the snail reached the ark.” - Charles
H. Spurgeon.

She is a Life and Business Development Coach; Author, Speaker and founder of Success Coaches Institute; Former Head Coach w/Robbins organization. I retweeted as I use the snail as a symbol in my artwork. It is one of my icons. You can spot them large and minuscule in my artwork over the course of years. As a mom who is also a focused artist, I could relate to the perseverance it takes however slowly making my way. She continued to respond saying "It gives new meaning to perseverance...doesn't it?" A meaning though perhaps I did not verbalize but in my symbolic language found my own truth.

Interview by Katie Ball on the ART BEAT

" Song in my Cup" by Robin Maria Pedrero

On October 10, 2009 the ART BEAT WUCF- FM Orlando Florida Jazz and More 89.9
featured an interview with me by Katie Ball.
"Painter
Robin Maria Pedrero was born to be an artist.
And though life has caused a few faltering steps along the way,
her star is on the rise."

you can listen to the podcast where Katie says .."for one brief moment everything feels right with the world...painter Robin Maria Pedrero somehow harnesses this..."

http://podcasts.wucf.org/media/artbeat/2009/10-07-09.mp3

and a footnote from me regarding the data loss, I had backed up on to an external storage drive,
and the back up is what crashed, I use discs and online storage for files now.
