Pedrero Edgewater Library Exhibit Orange County Florida

This morning I installed my art in the Edgewater Library of Orlando Florida. The Orange County Library System was named Florida Library of the Year for 2010.   The exhibit will be on display until the end of October.

It is of interest to me to display my art in public spaces. The art is introduced to some people who might not frequent galleries or museums. People are drawn in to the pieces by curiosity, color and subject matter. I like how art makes people think and feel differently and the aspect of how the works I create stir up storytelling. The narratives that people relate to are usually personal with some are real life experiences while others imagined. I am hoping the library visitors indulge and interact with the art and produce a quiet dialogue.

Congrats Robin and nice post. There is a very good library to exhibit in in my neck of the woods...in Pinellas County. The Palm Harbor Library. They are super art friendly and treat the artist pretty special. Contact person: Evelyn Slama.

Regards, Princess

Perfect place to display your art because it is the youth that we need to inspire and guide for their future choices in life. In seeing your style of artwork. Perhaps there will be children who will ask their parents what the artwork is all about or it may inspire a youngster to take out a pencil and paper and try to draw what they see. A bridge of wonderment that may be the first footsteps of another Robin Maria Pedrero. Kudos to you Robin!
