Baterbys Art Auction Gallery Competition

I am thankful to my friend Peggy Nelson who shared the call to artists for Baterbys Art Auction Gallery,
I submitted my art for review,  Monday I received a phone call notifying me that I'd been selected!! I am one of 6 artists who will have their work in a competition at Baterbys!
They will implement two different kinds of judging, allowing the public to pick their favorite artist and they will have an electoral judging party made up of art connoisseurs. The artists with the majority of points will be awarded the prizes. On the night of Jan 13th  Baterbys will pick two (or three) winners. Once this gets underway I will be encouraging those who can,  to vote. I am just so very excited!
Baterbys has been in the art industry for over 25 years. The company’s expertise in art is unparalleled and in turn, we offer our clients something unique in the industry: a lifetime money-back guarantee of authenticity and a lifetime exchange policy for each work of art. This is important to art collectors, since provenance is everything. At Baterbys. we believe that gaining a buyer’s trust is key to ensuring that they will become repeat customers.
In collecting art, Baterbys makes sure it's kept simple: if you like a work of art, collect it. No intellectual or abstract reasons necessary. Of course, some information about the art is always useful so Baterbys educates its guests in a fun and entertaining way.
The world-class facility of Baterbys is home to some of the greatest names in art: Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro and many others who you only get to see in the top museums of the world. The gallery walls are also filled with the works of today’s best-selling artists such as Peter Max, Alfred Gockel, Gary Benfield, Pino and over hundreds of others.
The 6,000 sq. ft. location was voted as Orlando's Best Art Gallery by Orlando Style Magazine in 2009 and by Orlando Magazine in 2010. Even if the Orlando location is situated in a thriving tourist district, being voted by these two publications that resonate deeply with the locals prove that Baterbys has become a favorite amongst Central Floridians as well.
From the first auction in November 2008 until today, Baterbys' art collection has grown from just a house-full of 20th Century masters to over thousands of modern and contemporary artworks that can hardly fit in a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
For the past three consecutive years, Baterbys has been winning industry-wide marketing and advertising awards from USA Today,  National Auctioneers Association and the Florida Auctioneers Association for their creative and excellent campaigns. Locally, in Orlando, several lifestyle and cultural magazines like Orlando Magazine and Orlando Style Magazine have given a nod to the gallery as the “Best Art Gallery” in the city. Over 10,000 of their subscribers, readers  and loyal followers voted for Baterbys for two years in a row – a noteworthy achievement given that the gallery opened only three years ago!
