Art for Education at the University Club of Orlando

Art For All Spaces and the University Club of Orlando are joining forces to host Art for Education, a special showing of Central Florida artists, sponsored by the Downtown Arts District. This event is a first of its kind in Orlando, showcasing the work of both established artists and students from local colleges and universities.

Proceeds from this exhibit will support the University Club Foundation scholarship fund.

The University Club of Orlando was established in 1926 by a group of university graduates and community leaders who wanted to recreate the fraternal experience they enjoyed in college. Knowing the benefits of a good education and wanting to give back to the community, the members of the Club formed a Foundation to provide tuition assistance to local students. The Foundation currently funds scholarships for five local colleges and universities, including the University of Central Florida, Rollins College, Valencia College, Seminole State College and Florida A&M University College of Law. To date, the University Club Foundation has donated over $1.6 million in scholarships to these institutions. In its 88 year history the Club has developed into a Downtown Orlando fixture. It is now the city’s premier private club. Its membership is made up of a wide range of Central Florida business owners, doctors, attorneys, developers, bankers and civic leaders, all of whom are dedicated to supporting education.

“Art for Education” will feature the work of Ken Austin, Megan Paquette Stepe, Robin Maria Pedrero, Linda Brant, Judy Batterson, Marsha De Broske, Richard Munster, Doug Powell, Louis Lockheed, Saulius Jankauskas, Irma Kirveline, Patrica Byron, Natasha Schaidt, Bonnie Sprung, Cathy Hempel, Bricelyn Shafron, Janae Corrado, Paul Scarborough, as well as work by current students and recent graduates of the University of Central Florida, Rollins College, Valencia College and Seminole State College.

Tickets are available for a tax deductible $20 contribution, $10 for students and will be available online ( prior to the event or at the door on the day of the event.
